With the racing season coming to a close it ended on a high for Team O’BR with all three cars in the Fun Cup Championship finishing in the top five after 4 hours of frantic endurance racing at Oulton Park. This put Team O’BR young guns (Zoe, Guy and Tom) in car 22 magnificently placed (2nd) in the championship. Mark and Graham in Team O’BR car 207 finished in 3rd place just a few points behind car 22.
Euge was reunited with friend and ex-client Simon Philips and his team mate Lewis Batchelor to assist them in preparation for the final round of the MSV Trackday Trophy Championship at Snetterton. Euge gave them invaluable feedback on the cars suspension and aerodynamic settings also helping both drivers with tips on improving their lap times. Unfortunately the race was curtailed very early due to a mechanical failure. The pair are more than optimistic about the 2015 season. Watch out for this car with its supercharged 2ZZ engine – it is targeted to be the quickest 2 litre MR2 in the UK (again with the help of Euge).
Finally 14 year old Junior Saloon Car race winner Alex Day was helped by Euge making the transition to a sequential gearbox and rear-wheel-drive ready for his debut in the Ginetta Junior race in November. He will be racing alongside Flashman Finneran at Tollbar Racing. Watch this space for results in the November newsletter.
