Eugene started his career in single-seaters and from humble beginnings went on to win many races in Formula Ford, Formula First, Formula Vauxhall-Lotus and Formula 2000. He battled wheel to wheel with several Grand Prix names to be, including Damon Hill, Johnny Herbert and Mika Hakkinen. Eugene then went on to race front-wheel drive saloons in the televised BTCC for the factory Peugeot team. In sports cars he triumphed in Sports 2000 and Pro-Sport 3000 and set the GT2 Class lap record in the Le Mans 24 hours.
Not wanting to lose touch
with grass-roots racing, Eugene has
more recently competed successfully in categories as diverse as Mazda
MX5s, Citroen 2CVs, Radicals and Britcar. In 2008 Eugene teamed up with
two of his students Neil Walker and Ray Stewart to win the VW Cup
Endurance Championship.

Before starting his own coaching business Eugene was employed as Chief Instructor at Silverstone Racing School and travelled all over Europe as a leading instructor for Ferrari.
